Head Chef - Adelaide

 Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with the team behind this outstanding hospitality group that are expanding into Adelaide bustling CBD. They are on the hunt for an experienced Head Chef to be a part of the team of this new game-fuelled social hub providing state-of-the-art games for adults, and exceptional food and beverage offering all within a venue like no other!

To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Head Chef, a veteran in handling al a carte and function service simultaneously, problem-solving on the go, building and developing your team in a fast-paced venue and have a love for amazing food and most of all be the leader of your team.

You will be a person who lives and breathes the hospitality industry and is well versed in the general operations of a large-scale venue, willing to grow with the expansion and pass your knowledge on through the training and development of your team.

What do you do?

• Build, manage, train and develop a kitchen team
• Be numbers-savvy around COGS, Labour and wastage
• Direct kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and cleanup
• Work closely with FOH and management on menus, service and events
• Order, stocktake and management of OHS inline with food safety
• Maintain and build on new supplier and vendor relationships
• Direct kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking and cleanup
• Plan menus and set prices making adjustments as needed based on the availability of ingredients

What do you need?

• Experience has a Head Chef at a venue similar in size and offerings
• Trade qualified
• Weekend availability and willingness to work across a 7-day roster including weekends, and some late nights
• Ability to problem solve and prioritise tasks.
• Fluent written and verbal skills 
• Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team and lead by example.
