About the position
An exciting opportunity to join the Parramatta Eels as our inaugural Head Coach of our Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership team, a crucial piece in our women’s pathway. Reporting to the NRLW Head Coach, this role is responsible for providing structured, innovative and professional coaching to players in the HNWP squad.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to a preseason coaching program in accordance with the NRLW coaching philosophies.
- Work closely with our coaching and support staff to plan, organise and execute the HNWP program. Embrace a collaborative approach to coaching that emphasises teamwork, communication and shared goals.
- Create a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes respect, integrity and excellence.
- Utilise your experience in assessing individual player and team performance and provide support to players to enhance their individual and team skills.
- Implement tailored programs to support the continuous improvement of the teams skills, strategies and overall performance.
- Actively support and contribute to the Pathways Systems that underpin the HNWP program.
- Foster talent development and create pathways for aspiring players to reach their full potential within the HNWP program.
- Play an integral role in our retention and recruitment team.
- Contribute towards the playing roster, ensuring the right mix of talent, skill, experience and potential to achieve our team’s goals.
- Alignment with our Cultural Foundations (Vision, Values & Purpose).
- Proven experience as a Head Coach in Rugby League or a related sport.
- Coaching Accreditation - Senior Club Coach.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A track record of assessing and improving individual and team performance
- A commitment to the development of players and pathways.
