We are looking forward to welcoming an experienced Head HD/LV Mechanic to lead our Bunbury team immediately.
The role will comprise the following responsibilities;
- Coordination, management and training of a small team of mechanics, tyrefitters and mechanical apprentices.
- Fleet management of over 100 vehicles and plant located across our two depots (Bunbury and Landsdale) - including Trucks, Cars, Excavators, Directional Drills, Small plant
- On-site call outs and service repairs
- In yard repairs, servicing, maintenance and modifications of vehicles and plant
- Liaising with project managers and field staff to prioritise time sensitive repairs
- Coordinating third party services (hydraulics, subcontractors etc.) as needed
- Working with our Fleet Coordinator/Administrator to log all repairs and servicing, and maintain accurate records
- Parts ordering, sales and stock-take
- General support for our on the field teams with equipment hire/off-hire
- Yard organisation and house keeping
We are seeking a team member that is hands on and demonstrates the following requirements:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate - Diesel Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Light Vehicle
- Current Australian HR Class Drivers Licence Minimum
- Ability to Pass a Pre Employment Medical
- Ability to work in a team environment, with multiple and diverse personnel on-site
- Hands on work ethic
- High organisational skills
- Good understanding of plant, equipment and parts
Additional advantageous qualifications include (training offered):
- Construction Induction (Blue/White Card)
- Hiab Crane Ticket
- Forklift Ticket
- Welding and/or fabrication experience
