We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional to step into our Head of Audience Engagement – smoothfm role for a 12 Month Maternity Leave contract.

Reporting to our Director of Audience Engagement, this is an opportunity for you to lead the Audience Engagement function for smoothfm at a local and national level. You will provide specialised leadership and support to the local Audience Engagement teams, and you will champion & protect the smoothfm brands, overseeing and delivering effective promotions and marketing solutions for NOVA Entertainment’s clients and stations. 

Core to role is:

• Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as CREATE, Programming and Music Marketing to ensure a winning culture of innovation, idea generation and execution across the smoothfm brand which allows for the achievement of revenue & ratings goals for the group.
• Being an inspiring and motivating people leader tasked with inspiring and creating the right conditions that enable delivery of our strategy. 
• You will need to be a collaborative leader who is able to negotiate, lead and implement concurrently and be positive, enthusiastic and agile in your approach.

This role is highly operational and core to your success is the day-to-day management of the Audience Engagement team and their workflow. More specifically, your day-to-day will include:

• Overseeing the development and high level project-management of the Audience Engagement teams promotional plans.
• Secure and project manage relevant third party partnerships for the brand, working alongside the Audience Engagement Director and Smooth Program Director.
• Plan and forecast to ensure promotional airtime commitments are met while remaining within budget.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with all on-air personalities and internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of promotional activities.
• Actively coach team members to achieve outstanding results and ensure the growth, development and retention of talent.
• Profile the Audience Engagement team internally as a collaborative and critical function of the business and develop a culture of continuous improvement.
• Project work as required.
