This role could be located in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
THE ROLE:
New Business Strategic Planning
• Undertake extensive market research
• Lead the development of promotional and tender content to best meet market demand
• Develop pursuit plans in accordance with our targeted industries and clients
• Develop and promote Vivid value propositions to retain and grow existing clients and win new business
• Lead the planning, review and reporting of performance against developed strategies
• Lead the pursuit of growth opportunities to achieve organisational financial targets
• Develop and maintain a value for money / pricing model
Stakeholder Management
• Proactively develop productive relationships with existing and future clients
• Proactively build Vivid’s reputation in the industry including formal industry associations
• Proactively engage key internal stakeholders to capture information to promote Vivid
• Proactively engage with existing clients and internal stakeholders to evaluate SWOT
• Review and maintain up to date and document competitor analyses
• Ensure that all stakeholders are suitably engaged in accordance with established RACIs for involvement in pursuits, bid management and transitions
Bidding and Tender Process
• Develop and own formal documented processes and manage delivery for end to end Business Development, bid management and transition activities
• Manage relevant CRM systems
• Ensure the monitoring of all relevant tender platforms so that no reasonable opportunity is missed
• Attend all lost business debriefs and produce insightful analysis to the Executive team and other stakeholders to inform continuous improvement
• Participate in internal working groups on ICT and Innovation to drive internal improvements and to capture in pursuit and tender submissions
Team Management
• Set and maintain clear performance standards that meet the expectations in the Vivid Strategic Plan
• Provide sufficient coaching, training and general leadership to ensure that the team are focused on core deliverables and achieving targets
Reporting
• Provide weekly and monthly Executive reporting on pipeline, performance against financial targets, win / loss, pursuit strategies, go no go decisions
• Maintain accurate pipeline and financial status at all times
• Utilise PowerBI or CRM to provide professional and insightful data visualisation
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Business Development, sales, or a related field
- Demonstrated Business Development experience in soft services
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and partners
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
