About the role
You will be responsible for the effective leadership of the Corrections Education to achieve service delivery requirements and key performance indicators. This role will ensure a cooperative approach to contract delivery and resolving challenges.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive TAFE you will:
- manage stakeholder engagement between Federation and Department of Justice and Community Safety, local prison management and other Department business units; and
- take leadership of delivering contract commitments including quality and curriculum maintenance, finances, and human resourcing across both regions.
About you
You will use your initiative and advanced problem-solving skills to achieve results, managing competing priorities in a complex operating environment, influencing and negotiating to deliver positive outcomes focusing on customer service and stakeholder responsiveness.
You will have demonstrated:
- experience in senior management of vocational education and training delivery within a complex setting;
- expertise in strategic planning and operational implementation;
- the ability to lead and manage staff, embedding a positive, safe and inclusive workplace culture; and
- capability to build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders and make a significant contribution to Federation’s strategic objectives.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- A security clearance as required under the contractual obligations with Corrections Victoria.
