Currently hiring for an innovative and strategic Head of Claims to elevate the claims function and pursue new heights in service excellence, operational effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
This Sydney CBD-based role will see you playing a pivotal part in the ongoing success of this top tier business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic vision for the claims functions, spearheading strategy development and planning for the Claims function, optimising service delivery.
- Manage performance metrics and contractual alignment for a proactive claims operation.
- Cultivate essential relationships with stakeholders and third-party providers.
- Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the claims processes.
- Maintain rigorous third-party governance and regulatory compliance standards.
- Steer business and culture transformation programs focused on service and operational enhancements.
- Manage the claims function budget with an eye for shaving costs without sacrificing service.
- Nurture the growth and development of leadership within the claims team.
Desired Experience
- Bachelor Degree preferred, and RG146 or ANZIF compliance.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Excellent grasp of end-to-end General Insurance claims cycle.
- Proven ability to manage key customer relationships in a retail and broker/corporate customer context.
- Solid track record in implementing strategic business initiatives with the ability to also get on the tools and build an efficient, functioning claims team.
- Comprehensive industry knowledge, especially in specialised general insurance segments.
- Expertise in cost containment, claims leakage, and fraud awareness.
- Current on legislative knowledge and regulatory changes across various regions.
