Head Of Design - Womenswear Apparel

Dynamic national retailer is seeking a Head of Design to take the creative lead and manage the design team and product strategy

Our client is a retailer that has reinvented itself over the last few years and has seen some amazing results across all categories within the business.
The business is poised for the next phase of its evolution, so it's an exciting time to join.
Managing a large Design team you will oversee the design strategy for the business across all categories within their Womenswear department.
Your responsibilities will include;

• To manage, design and develop well-designed on trend apparel, accessories and home
• To manage and lead the design team and technical teams to deliver commercial, quality ranges
• Research trips for sourcing and inspiration
• Maintain high quality design standards
• Monitor sales reports – for style, colour and fabrication
• Manufacturer liaison and rationalisation to ensure on time on quality ranges
• Liaise with all members of the team to ensure brand co-ordination
• Involvement in marketing and branding

To be successful for this role you will have:

• A superior knowledge of Design and construction
• Industry experience in a senior/Head of Design position leading a brand creatively
• Degree in Design or related field
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
• Ability to develop relationships with suppliers and people at all levels within the business
