Role Purpose
Akubra are seeking a commercially minded and delivery focused Head of Digital & e-Commerce, to lead our digital strategy. The candidate will demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all communication, reflecting Akubra’s core values and take an active role in building and maintaining internal and commercial relationships, continually assessing, analysing, and improving all operational aspects of the online business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Digital Marketing and eCommerce Sales strategies across all touchpoints to increase traffic & convert online sales by channel.
- Manage P&L.
- Review sales by week / by day / by promotion to agree future activity and track sales performance to budget, forecast & LY by promotion and key web metrics.
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly eCommerce sales reporting & analysis, providing actionable insights.
- A key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Inventory Management. Working in partnership with the Business Analyst to develop inventory plan.
- Manage Inventory Forecast to ensure best sellers are never out of stock.
- Hands on, we are a small team.

- Continuously enhance the online customer experience.
- Ensure the balance of UI & UX reflects the brand standards of Akubra.
- Manage email marketing strategies, including content, personalisation & segmentation strategy, re-engagement plans and driving the acquisition of new sign ups.
- Develop performance marketing strategy, execute customer acquisition and retention marketing campaigns through SEO, social media, CRM, online advertising, and affiliate programs.
- Lead website updates and initiatives to constantly improve the customer journey and tactics to increase conversion, reduce bounce rate and cart abandonment. Monitor website, social and digital standards and enforce best practices.
- Communicate with end users and inter-departmental managers to build cross-functional support via websites and digital assets.
- Analyse and provide insights around site traffic and other key eCommerce metrics with Google Analytics, dashboards, and relevant business tools.
- Monitor industry, online and mobile shopping trends, maintaining knowledge of competition and awareness of eCommerce opportunities.
- Actively apply customer insights and business performance data to identify areas of opportunity.
