Day to day...

• Define the technical vision, strategy and roadmap in alignment with business stakeholders
• Oversee all engineering operations and ensure that initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Manage the engineering team and ensure that team members are working effectively to deliver high-quality projects.
• Hire, train, and develop engineering team members, ensuring that they have the skills and resources required to deliver their work.
• Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to improve efficiency, quality and security of Engineering operations.
• Partner with the business to understand customer and business needs and deliver products that meet those needs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and ensure that the engineering team is following these trends and best practices.
• Ensure that the engineering team is following all relevant regulations and standards, including safety regulations and industry standards.
• Manage the engineering budget, including setting budgets for individual initiatives and ensure that spending is within budgeted amounts.

Who you are...

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in engineering management, with experience managing teams of engineers and delivering high-quality products.
• Strong understanding of Engineering principles, including software engineering, product design and development.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and processes.
• Experience as an engineer.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
• Experience in developing and implementing engineering processes and procedures.
• Ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
