About the Role Our client is currently recruiting for a Head of Finance to join their close-knit and connected team in Inner-City London. They are looking for a qualified accountant with experience from a creative background. You will be responsible for managing a team of Finance professionals and reporting directly to upper management, collaborating with them to achieve the agency's financial goals.
Your responsibilities will include,
- Prepare monthly financial and management accounts for monthly reporting to the board and upper management.
- Manage a team of two, as well as training, mentoring, and reviewing their work.
- Management of company bank accounts.
- Prepare cash flow and P&L forecasting and reporting.
- Assist and provide any necessary direction or documentation during the annual company audit.
- Lead the team in completing month-end reconciliations and reporting.
- Supply financial data for operational functions such as PI renewals, ISO audits, and R&D claims within the practice.
- Take the lead in financial project reporting.
- Monthly analysis of actuals against budgets, forecasts, and preparation of financial commentary for review and discussion by upper management.
- Manage external relationships with accountants, auditors, and relevant financial bodies.
- HMRC reporting and ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to run payroll.
- ACCA, ACA qualified
- Experience with Statutory Accounting and Audit
- Previous experience at a similar level within a creative field. Preferably Architecture.
- Experience presenting financial information to the Board and upper management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with various accounting softwares including, Excel and XERO.
- Experience leading and managing a team of Finance professionals
