The Head ofGaming & Esports is responsible for strategically leveraging opportunities to cement Red Bull as the leading Energy Drink brand in Gaming and eSports in Australia. Red Bull’s mission is to build the leading global beverage and media brand that gives wings to people and ideas. The Head of Gaming is responsible for supporting and developing this vision with an Australian strategy delivery positive brand association and driving brand and can love through a rich marketing and sales mix of activity.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Gaming and Motorsports Specialist, ensuring team member continues to be positively challenged and develop their skills and knowledge to achieve goals.
  • Drive success from an innovative and outstanding gaming event program by inventing and executing new event and player projects. 
  • Ensure strong Red Bull branding outcomes are achieved across all media platforms from Red Bull events and 3rd party event initiatives. 
  • Create and manage a highly credible player portfolio program through talent identification, scouting, screening and selection of key players. All branded players will meet Red Bull criteria of brand personality, performance potential and brand fit. 
  • Manage the player marketing portfolio including ongoing optimization through annual target setting across performance and marketing discussions in partnership with the player leading into business planning.
  • Lead the 360-gaming playground with cross-functional team members to achieve targets and impact in activity.
  • Collaborate with Brand & Trade marketing teams on Gaming occasion plans that meet business objectives for in-store marketing campaigns.
  • Design and develop interesting event & player concepts that contribute unique stories, interesting topics, new formats, and top media content for Red Bull Media Network.
  • Work closely with the communications & legal team to coordinate the production of high editorial value in compliance with technical specifications of the Red Bull Media Network.
  • Collaborate with HQ & local counterparts to build strong local gaming marketing activity, in particular with the Red Bull Media Network.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4 years in the gaming marketing industry 
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Gaming and Esports landscape.
  • Experience in establishing & strengthening commercial partnerships.
  • Experience working cross functionally & leading major events & project teams.
  • A commercial marketing mindset whilst always ensuring credible and authentic brand activation.
