ASC is Australia's submarine company. We built the Royal Australian Navy's Collins Class submarines, sustain them, and are now delivering their Life of Type Extension to increase the boats' service lives. A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityReporting to the General Manager, Capability Development, and in collaboration with joint partners, the Head of Industry Engagement and Development is responsible for developing and executing an Industry Engagement and development strategy for the SSN AUKUS ProgramThe Head of Industry Engagement & Development will serve as the ASC lead representative, ensuring the delivery of all Industry Engagement and development initiatives aligned with ASC's strategy and contractual deliverables.Working closely with the SSN-AUKUS Capability and Supply Chain leadership teams, this role requires a strategic perspective on the business, considering long-term issues, opportunities, and risks to ensure ongoing success.Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an Industry Engagement and development strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maximise Australian industry participation.
  • Act as the ASC lead representative to ensure delivery of all Industry Engagement and development initiatives.
  • Align key activities with ASC's strategy to meet relevant contractual deliverables.
  • Maintain a strategic perspective on the entire business, addressing long-term issues, opportunities, and risks.
  • Work with the SSN-AUKUS Capability and Supply Chain leadership teams to ensure program success.
About You
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Commerce, or Program Management
  • Minimum of 12 years' relevant experience with a strong emphasis on Supply Chain strategies within a complex multi-partner program.
  • Experience in maritime design, build, and sustainment processes.
  • Proven ability to develop high-level strategies and translate them into operational plans.
  • Experience in developing and implementing a strategic Supply Chain or Procurement program.
  • Strong understanding of project strategy creation and alignment with organisational goals.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence external stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in influencing external and international stakeholders, including government entities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing high-performing teams in complex environments.
EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology.
