We are seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Internal Audit to join our team.
The Northern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (NSROC) Office is located on the lower North Shore in Lane Cove. NSROC represents eight local Councils that have come together to address regional issues, work cooperatively for the benefit of the region and advocate on regional positions and priorities. NSROC is a leafy region that has a vibrant and diverse village atmosphere.
About the Role
The Head of Internal Audit is a role shared across six participating councils. You will provide a range of services in accordance with the Internal Audit charter in each Council. The six participating Councils are Hunter's Hill, Ku-ring- gai, Lane Cove, Mosman, North Sydney and Strathfield. You will manage the development of the Audit Work Plan for each council and its successful delivery within budget. The time spent at each Council is established by agreement between the Councils and the requirements of the Audit Plan.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, or information technology and professional certification as an Internal Auditor (CIA or CISA) or accountant (CA/CPA)
- Experience in the development and implementation of strategic Internal Audit plans
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate ability to consult and negotiate at all levels organisations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Current and valid C Class Drivers Licence.
Knowledge of local government policies and processes would be highly valued.

Salary range - up to $160,000 + superannuation, (dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate).
