We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our school as Head of Science, commencing Term 3, 2024.

About the position:

The Head of Learning Area (Science) is a member of the middle management team in the Secondary School at Grammar.  This position is required to demonstrate excellence in curriculum delivery, assessment and management.  This position models best practice and innovation to encourage their Learning Area members in the development of all aspects of the curriculum.

The Head of Science has a wide-ranging view of how their curriculum area contributes to the holistic development of all students. They ensure that students are exposed to quality curriculum content and practices in their subject area, whilst maintaining the ethos of the School, as articulated by the PMSA.

Commencing in Term 3, 2024, this position is an exciting and rare opportunity to join the Grammar community and provide students with an opportunity to develop interest and passion in science and a curiosity and willingness to explore, ask questions and speculate about the changing world in which they live.

The successful candidate must demonstrate extensive experience in Head of Learning Area position, with leadership skills and the ability to manage a team. 

You must also be supportive of the Christian ethos and mission of our School and be prepared to participate in the school’s extra-curricular program where required.
