Job description

We have a fantastic 12-month maternity leave cover opportunity to lead the ANZ Medical & Nutritional Science, Market Access and Careline teams to ensure the provision of knowledge and expertise to develop, drive and execute Nutricia ANZ's business strategy. Through effective scientific thought leadership and translation of expert knowledge, the Head ofMedical Affairs & Market Access (MAMA) and Careline will enable the MAMA and Careline teams to drive demand generation and create business opportunities whilst ensuring credibility and strong value propositions for our products and services. You will also effectively engage, lead, and develop a high performing and diverse team comprised of expert medical & nutritional scientist, careline and healthcare professionals.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • To contribute to the development of the Danone ANZ business strategy and lead the development and execution of the MAMA and Careline strategies.
  • To ensure delivery of effective and efficient internal training that meets stakeholder needs and external education plans that are in line with the business strategy.
  • To drive effective external stakeholder relationships and create and execute an external stakeholder engagement plan. This would include identification and profiling of KOLs and collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive a collaborative and cross-functional approach to relationship management.
  • To enable the MAMA team to maintain streamlined systems and processes for Market Access across the ANZ business including maintaining and monitoring existing Australia and New Zealand product reimbursement listings and ensure proactive, effective communication of potential changes that might have a business impact.
  • To ensure compliance of the teams with relevant internal and external policies and regulations. Whilst being accountable for relevant MAMA and Careline function budget(s).
  • To develop scientific documents that are based on current, published evidence to ensure credibility and appropriate substantiation in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • To drive a research culture with your team, that includes real world evidence via identification and execution of strategic research opportunities. This will include evaluation of research proposals, requests and giving recommendations.
  • To proactively lead various projects including innovation and launch of new products and services as well as product and service renovation.
  • To lead KOL engagements, including advisory boards and co-lead HCP and consumer conferences, congresses and events. This includes the need to travel both domestically and internationally from time to time.

To be successful in this role you will need to have a scientific thought leadership with a pioneering and commercial mindset. You will be an effective and agile leader to drive results from your teams whilst using your effective relationship and collaboration skills to bring internal and external stakeholders on the journey of identification and management of opportunities and risks.

Ideally, you will have:

  • 10 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant setting
  • Management and team leadership experience
  • Excellent knowledge of science, including its practical application and able to translate this effectively to others
  • Strategy development and execution experience
  • Strong understanding of ANZ healthcare ecosystem and Market Access.
  • High level stakeholder management, especially with government agencies
