This company represents high quality products and strong presence and partnership with the healthcare industry. They have recently launched a new niche product and have more in the pipeline! Due to their growth, they are looking to onboard an experience and versatile Medical Affairs Specialist.
Reporting to the Medical Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Medical Affairs Responsibilities: Handle medical information, adverse event reporting, and product complaints. Possess extensive knowledge of relevant disease areas and products, including competitors and monitor peer-review and other relevant literature.
- Literature Monitoring and Research: Conduct literature searches to identify publications supporting Medical Affairs activities. Distribute key publications in compliance with Australian copyright laws.
- Training and Compliance: Provide training of pharmacovigilance, adverse event reporting, and product complaints. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of adverse events and product complaints. Coordinate Compassionate Use requests and maintain internal systems for reporting and trend identification.
- Regulatory Support: Offer advice on regulatory documents, including Product Information, Consumer Medicine Information, and Risk Management Plans. Collaborate with external consultants for document review and finalisation. Manage the upload of new CMIs and PIs to the eBusiness portal.
- Engagement with Commercial Function: Provide medical support to the commercial team, contributing to the development and review of promotional material. Monitor competitors' medical marketing activities globally.
The successful candidate will have:
- Advanced tertiary qualification in life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience or in a relevant Medical Affairs role
- Experience in the oversight of medical information, pharmacovigilance, investigator-initiated studies and/or therapeutic area/product training,
- Experience in the digestive disease will be highly regarded.
- Advanced written and communication skills to deliver complex scientific information.
