The Head of Organisational Development will work across operational and corporate portfolios to build capability and deliver Jetstar’s strategic Organisational Development priorities and help to drive Jetstar’s unique culture. The position will maintain strong relationships across the business to co-design and deliver learning and development opportunities to support the business’ priorities and drive high performance outcomes. You will also be responsible for Jetstar’s Talent Acquisition function and Inclusion and Diversity commitments, working collaboratively with a strong team to build an end to end and inclusive talent management strategy .
The core responsibilities of this role will be:
  • Work collaboratively with senior leaders to create and implement the Jetstar Professional Development Strategy with a tiered approach for layers of leadership, individual contributors, operational and corporate employees.
  • Partner with the Qantas Group People Community and Leaders to conduct training needs analysis and identify opportunities for new, improved or refreshed professional development opportunities.
  • Lead and work collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition team to align the business’ recruitment and resourcing priorities with the overarching People Strategy
  • Develop and implement talent management strategy and frameworks
  • Work closely with the Group Inclusion & Diversity team to design and develop strategy, frameworks and processes to meet overarching Inclusion and Diversity priorities
  • Develop and drive learning programs including both face to face and online training sessions.
  • Ensuring learning solutions developed are aligned to both portfolios strategic approach and the business goals and objectives
To be considered, key skills will include:
  • 10+ years’ experience in training management and facilitation roles
  • Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills as well as knowledge of adult learning principles and solutions
  • Experience working in L&D - training management, business partnering, consulting or similar activities
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition for large, complex organisations
  • Sound analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional leadership and people management capability with the ability to lead, motivate, engage and develop high performing teams
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills to effectively address challenging situations
