What You Will Be Doing
The Head of Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Recreational Therapy provides strong strategic leadership and direction for physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and recreational therapy and drives service delivery, workforce, innovation, research, quality, safety and risk management strategies for these professions across Peninsula Health. The role is responsible for professional governance, including overseeing credentialing, scope of practice and clinical supervision, for all physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and recreational therapists across all programs of Peninsula Health. It is also responsible for operational governance of Physiotherapy staff working in inpatient and acute outpatient settings. This role ensures provision of excellent clinical care, achievement of maximal operational effectiveness and fosters partnerships within and external to Peninsula Health. This role is an integral member of the Allied Health Leadership Team, and is responsible for leading relevant allied health portfolio/s.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
  • Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications in physiotherapy, health services management, public health, health administration (or working towards same)
  • Extensive experience in physiotherapy operational management and professional leadership role at senior clinician and/or management level
  • Extensive clinical knowledge, skills and experience in physiotherapy
  • Strong knowledge of acute and sub-acute inpatient and acute outpatient physiotherapy service provision

*Please refer to salary circular for ALLIED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021 - 2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
