As this healthcare business enters a critical phase, they are looking for a Head of Procurement to help drive key strategic initiatives, stabilise the business and play a key role as part of the leadership team.
This role is best suited to a proven Head of Procurement with a strong contracts and commercial background, supplier management expertise and strong influencing skills. The Head of Procurement will manage a team of category managers and operational staff providing strong leadership.
With a broad scope, this role encompasses the following key duties and will include but not be limited to:
- Contract renewal negotiations with key suppliers
- Supplier management, including maintaining key relationships
- Procurement strategy development and implementation
- Category management
- Compliance and risk management, maintain systems and processes
- Leadership of direct and indirect teams
This critical role requires the following attributes and skills:
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Ideally healthcare or medical industry experience
- In depth understanding of contract commercials and price negotiations
- Team management and leadership skills
- Strong influencing skills and supplier relationship management
