About the roleWe are seeking a
Head of Quality Assurance (QA) to design and deliver
Quality Assurance services for Insurance Australia. This critical role delivers an effective detective control and first line assurance to ensure accountable leaders are confident they are meeting obligations and operating within appropriate risk environment.The
Head of QA will lead the continuous transformation and optimisation
of Quality Assurance across Insurance Australia. This includes evolving towards a risk-based QA program, realising the value from the function by driving change, optimising how QA services are delivered by leveraging partners, automation, AI, systems, productivity tools, and new ways of working.In addition, the
Head of QA will drive the ongoing evolution and optimisation of QA services in alignment with evolving regulatory and business requirements.
What you'll do- Deep understanding of the Insurance Australia business strategy to ensure that the operational support model aligns with current and future needs.
- Know and understand the evolving regulatory requirements and implications for Suncorp's obligations across the insurance value chain.
- Set strategic direction for the QA Centre of Excellence in line with CRO, T&O, & Operational Excellence.
- Design and execute the Insurance Australia Quality Assurance Framework
- Support the QA team through periods of change, including communication, support, and engagement.
- Regularly report on progress to key business stakeholders - including the CRO and leadership teams for Consumer and Commercial and Personal Injury.
- Set and drive the uplift in capability across the Quality Assurance team - including risk capability, productivity and continuous improvement and partner management.
What you'll bring- Leadership experience spanning a minimum of 10 years, preferably within Insurance.
- Extensive background with a minimum of 10 years of experience in risk-related business areas.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams through periods of transformation and change.
- Skilful in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, including engaging with C-suite executives.
- Demonstrated ability to guide and influence decision-making at strategic and business leader level.
- Empathetic leadership with the ability to understand the needs of others and support them during periods of ambiguity and change.
- ISO 31000: Risk Management Training is well regarded.
