About the roleThe engine room of our business, our Central Operations team keeps us moving and delivering our services to all Australians. We empower and support our retail teams across the country, helping them deliver great experiences for our customers every single day.
We're looking for an exceptional senior leader to champion the needs of our customers, while developing the team and driving improvements across the board.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead a multi-region portfolio within the state, to coach Regional Managers to achieve improved Safety, People, Engagement and Commercial outcomes/results. The goal is to ensure the best customer experience in our stores, with the customer being a key driver in all decision making.
This role is based in Sydney and sorounding suburbs.
Other ways you can make an impact include:
- Delivering financial and non-financial performance targets
- Embeding change programs, operational and merchandising activities effectively across all areas within the portfolio
- Coaching Regional Managers to own and put corrective actions in place
- Experience building and leading a large team of more than 50 people
- Operational leadership in multiple sites of varying size, format, and performance
- Understanding of business performance metrics such as EBIT, comp sales, trading profit % to sales, CODB etc.
- The delivery of business KPI improvements over an 18-month period
- Multi-functional experience - operations, support and projects
- Business plan creation resulting in sustained improvement
- Worked collectively with support functions to uncover insights and drive performance
- Experience of leading transformational change
- Sales and operations planning
- Project management, problem solving and continuous improvement methodologies
- Customer insights and trends related to supermarkets
- Category knowledge, current trends and history
- The ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive business improvement outcomes
