We have an exciting opportunity for a season HR / ER (Employment Relations) Manager to join our team as the Head of Consultancy based in our Sydney Headquarters. This is a new role due to expansion, in which you will have the opportunity to balance both your technical employment relations knowledge with HR operations.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Consultancy, you will lead the charge to ensure we are consistently meeting and exceeding our operational service levels. With 3 direct reports and approximately 30 indirect reports, we see this vertical of our business expanding rapidly.
In this unique role, you'll:
- Partner with passion: You will work closely a number of senior stakeholders across the business with a mission statement of “delivering exceptional service at every interaction”
- Knowledge sharer: You will be a trusted partner to our teams, constantly seeking ways to optimize our service levels, review training programs and ensure both our business and client risk is mitigated.
- Stay aHead of the curve: Proactively monitor changes in employment law and operational efficiencies to deliver better business
- Delight and deliver: Meet our growth, retention and engagement targets across the business unit including client satisfaction and progression of our people.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in similar role operational roles with exposure to Employment Relations.
- Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, the Modern Awards system, National Employment Standards and other related legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Build trust, actively listen, and effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally in person.
- Formal qualifications in HR / IR or Law are essential for this role
