Partnering with an established ecommerce business, whose story of growth has been written by a group of incredibly impressive entrepreneurs, the Founders are now seeking a Head of Supply Chain Operations to elevate their trajectory of success even further.
Focusing on procurement, logistics and warehousing, this individual will be a welcomed and valuable addition to the senior leadership team.
Backed and run by a team of blue-sky thinkers, this business has dominated its industry over the past 8 years, ingraining itself as a go-to supplier in the world of interior design. Everything about this business is aesthetically pleasing, from the luxury products to their high-end showroom and office environment (located in Rosebery).
The role…
With plans for 2024 to be the biggest year to date, the Head of Supply Chain Operations will be pivotal in developing strategies that will enable the execution of business goals. You’ll be across the end-to-end Supply Chain cycle, all whilst coaching a direct team of three managers and offering mentorship to their wider groups.
The business currently sits at around 30 employees, so whilst they are still in their scale-up phase your day-to-day will never be ‘rinse and repeat’. As always, there will be some core functions of the role that will require your key focus:
- Supply Chain Management – assess and evaluate current Supply Chain processes, enhance operations and flow of communication across demand planning, purchasing, inventory management, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
- Strategic Leadership – continuously develop and nurture 3 core managers in the Supply Chain remit. Creating career progression plans, setting goals, coaching and motivating them to unleash their potential to become great leaders.
- Financial Management – managing capital allocated across the entire Supply Chain, creating transparent budgets and reports to provide insight. Identify opportunities to streamline costs, improve product ranges and contribute to profitability of the business overall.
- Innovative Ideas – bring new ideas to the table to increase efficiency, whilst strengthening current processes. Creating an exceptional customer experience is always your number one priority, you inspire others to live and breathe your customer-centric mentality.
This is a senior appointment for a business where innovation is embedded in its DNA. Expectations are high and we’re looking for a tenacious, career-minded professional to bring their years of Supply Chain experience to generate exceptional outcomes. With this in mind, the business is seeking to attract a seasoned professional in this industry space (10 years +), combined with demonstrated leadership capabilities and previous direct reports.
You’re a hands-on leader who is naturally respected by your team due to your involved nature, ability to inspire others and your overall positivity. You regularly share your wealth of knowledge and instil confidence in your team, which in turn allows them to reach goals that they never knew were possible.
Experience with an established start-up/SME is essential, as you’ll understand the complexities and challenges that present themselves in these environments. Your adaptable and flexible outlook ensures that you are never set in your ways, you efficiently cut through multi-layered business problems to secure the best result.
