About the Job:
Health and Security Assistants play a vital role in our facility by collaborating with both clinical and non-clinical staff. You will play a pivotal role in patient care, inner facility transfers, maintaining impeccable cleanliness, and managing security issues, including patient restraints. Your contribution will be essential to
ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our health service. If you're passionate about making a real impact in healthcare and thrive in a vibrant, supportive environment, we welcome your expertise and dedication to our team.
On any given day, you will be working with the Health and Security team to ensure the hospital is a safe place to work and visit. You will be assisting the nursing staff with heavy lifting procedures and transfers.
You and your team will also be attending to situations where the safety of patients and staff is compromised. You will work regularly with clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as external members of the public, including the NSW police force.
Your training will include cleaning procedures, as this also contributes to a safe environment in our hospital. Thrive in your new role at our friendly hospital!

You must have:
1. Current Security Licence: Class 1 A as per the Security Industry Act 1997.
2. Senior First Aid Certificate: Must be current.
3. Experience in Security Support: Assisting in the safe transfer of challenging individuals handed over by NSW Police to clinical staff.
You will need to answer these selection criteria as part of your online application:
1. Ability to handle aggressive and/or difficult persons.
2. Knowledge of cleaning procedures and agents and a willingness to perform cleaning tasks.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
