About The Role
As the Health Clerk, you will be responsible for providing clerical services including maintenance of electronic and hard copy health records, maintaining databases and information management systems, filing and photocopying and ordering stationery.
You will communicate with internal and external customers to obtain patient information as required. The work you undertake will be in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, Medical-in-Confidence and Staff-in-Confidence standards.
About the Robertson Health Centre
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of the city of Darwin.
The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2,800 defence staff, with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2,500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward.
Standard operating hours are 0730-1530, Monday-Friday.
About You
As the ideal applicant, you will have:
- At least 12 months of full-time or part-time experience in an administrative role
- Experience working in a clinical support role or medical reception
- Demonstrated ability to work in a customer service focused environment (desirable)
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- An understanding of the importance of accurate and up-to-date record keeping in a clinical environment and take pride in being responsible for this
- Experience in providing clinical support services and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support delivery of the highest standard of care to patients
