Health Information Manager

Queensland Cancer Control Analysis Team are looking for a Health Information Manager to join their team. This role supports the coordination and implementation projects and initiatives, specific to clinical practice, service improvement and health care delivery systems. Provide expert coding advice to Cancer Alliance Queensland (CAQ) team members to support system development and cancer reporting.

About the Role

• Provide CAQ with expert advice in relation to terminology, data definition, data collection matters and information systems.
• Negotiate and liaise with key stakeholders regarding requirements, data collections and the timely availability of cancer data for service improvement and clinical care.
• To initiate, conduct and analyse coding audits for data quality improvement purposes.
• Review data requests for accuracy and compliance with legislative and policy requirements under direction of the Cancer Control Information Manager, QCCAT.
• Work closely with students and clients as requested to facilitate aspects of approved data access projects.
• Utilise the expertise of team members and clinicians to identify discrepancies and update inaccurate or incomplete information.
