This includes the delivery of health navigation services to both St Lukes members and the general public from our Hobart and Launceston offices. We believe that we can transform health outcomes through the delivery of this innovative service. 

The Role:

Based in Launceston and employed on permanent part time basis up to 0.6 FTE, the Health Navigator will provide guidance including local health system knowledge, educational resources, and information to assist people to navigate the options available to them. By supporting awareness, access, affordability, and action the Health Navigator will empower people to manage their health care journey with confidence. The successful candidate will have:

  • A clear understanding of the health ecosystem through lived experience or relevant experience in a health-related field.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to quickly build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders to facilitate provision of appropriate multidisciplinary care and support for people in their health journey.
  • Outcomes and value focused attitude in advancing the collective interest of our members, driving a culture that puts the members at the centre of all activity.
  • An ability to think logically, solve problems and understand process in multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
  • Proven and effective written and verbal communication, along with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in use of relevant IT and software applications

Preferred skills/experiences include:

  • Experience as a nurse or allied health provider or another health-related field
  • Experience in premium customer care
