The Role
We are currently seeking an energetic and passionate WHS Business Partner to join our dedicated Electrical and Plumbing division. The WHS Business Partner will support the business to achieve WHS targets and objectives aligned to the WHS strategy. This role will provide leadership and support in all aspects of WHS across the Member network to protect our people and the brand. This includes:
- Supporting the Members and promoting a positive safety culture across all levels of the division
- Providing effective support for the delivery of exceptional standards of WHS, ensuring compliance to all legislative requirements, continuous improvement and review of WHS systems, processes and implementation of WHS initiatives
- On-boarding of subcontractors to receive electrical and plumbing work from our O'Brien Group Services
- Supporting the Operations team with their safety activities
- Monthly reporting to the Senior Leadership team
- Development of policies and procedures in line with legislative and operational requirements

What we are looking for

- Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV of WHS minimum)
- Current and valid driver’s license
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in WHS
- Strong understanding of relevant state and federal WHS legislation
- A sound knowledge of WHS management systems implementation
- Experienced in developing and presenting effective training programs
- Demonstrated experience in injury management, including Worker’s Compensation and Claims Management
- Demonstrated experience in hazard identification and management
- Demonstrated experience in ensuring site compliance and conducting site audits
- Experience in incident investigation and reporting
