As a HSW Partner, you will help shape our culture by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with school leadership teams, key school staff and site safety personnel. ensuring smooth communication and collaboration to achieve excellent health, safety and Wellbeing performance. You will provide onsite partnering to build capability, provide expert advice and support on safety compliance, develop and assist with the implementation of strategic objectives and initiatives, and contribute to the implementation and improvement of BCE’s safety management system across your school portfolio.
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- Health and Safety Expertise: Utilise your extensive knowledge and qualifications to provide support and assist in maintaining robust safety programs and practices across an allocated portfolio of schools
- Auditing and Investigations: Lead and oversee WHS audits, inspections and investigations, advising on measures to continuously improve the safety management system and WHS compliance
- Capacity Building: Partner with principals, senior leaders, key school staff and safety personnel to establish and implement school WHS improvement plans aligned with BCE’s safety management system
- Collaborate: Work collaboratively with schools, the Health and Safety team and other BCE divisions to share learnings, monitor compliance and achieve organisational priorities
- Self-starter: Highly autonomous role where you take initiative, manage projects, and work independently to schedule and prioritise work to respond to emergent issues and manage competing priorities
- Legislation and Best Practice: Demonstrate a track record of contextualising legislation and implementing best practices to achieve optimal safety outcomes
