health, safety and wellbeing specialist

An exciting permanent opportunity is currently available to work for a council in the Southeast suburbs.Flexible work arrangement.Permanent part time (.8fte).We are seeking a professional, flexible and resilient Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist to join the team. This role will provide support to the safety team and is responsible for actively leading and addressing OHS compliance requirements across the organization.Key responsibilities

• Actively contribute to the corporate and business planning process.
• Provide support to managers on legal compliance regarding workcover.
• Coordinate health and safety programs.
• High Stakeholder engagement with external bodies.

Key requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Health and Safety especially in the psychosocial hazards.
• Knowledge of injury prevention and injury management strategies.
• Knowledge of workplace injury rehabilitation and compensation of act 2013.
• Able to apply a data driven approach to health and wellbeing issues across the organization.
• Able to work autonomously in a tight knit team.
