Cleanaway is the largest waste management company in Australia. Within our Industrial & Waste Services division (IWS) we provide total waste management business solutions to our customers in the Mining, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure sectors. These solutions include, industrial cleaning services such as non-destructive digging, concrete demolition, high pressure water blasting, vacuum loading, shutdown services, pipe, drain and tank cleaning, emergency spills response and CCTV.
Due to internal movement we have a rare opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator to join our team based in St Marys, Sydney.
Your new role
In addition to having a genuine passion for safety and the environment you will also bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Support HS&E knowledge and performance improvement programs
- Support the business implement HS&E standards, guidance and tools
- Provide HS&E Support as required (may include due diligence, tenders, incidents response and
- investigations, etc.)
- Ensure HS&E reporting and tracking are updated as required
- Understand ownership of regulations, licenses, and standards
- Support the business with audits if and where required
- Liaise with the regional senior management team in respect to HSE information gathering, analysis and reporting
- Assist with Incident investigations, risk registers, control documents and training packs
About you
It is expected that you will have the following experience to be successful in this role:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in Health & Safety and Environment fields or relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated experience providing advice and support to the business on general HSE queries and matters
- Knowledge of Health & Safety or Environment standards, legislation, systems and industry best practice
- Systems knowledge and capability in data analytics and reporting
- Knowledge of and capability in Document Management and Learning Management systems - MyOSH
- Qualifications in Safety, Environment or related discipline but not essential
