About the role
Main tasks: Develop, implement, and facilitate the company's environmental, health, and safety programs and policies.
Other tasks:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive environmental, health and safety training and awareness programs
- Serve as a safety role model, promoting proactive risk management
- Enhance and implement global standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold and improve safety standards
- Conduct and facilitate investigations and risk assessments for incidents and hazards
- Oversee and ensure compliance with the site's critical risk program
- Conduct regular EHS audits and prepare for internal and external audits
- Coordinate essential safety training across various sites
- Maintain and update the safety management system

What you must have to apply for this role:
- Qualifications in occupational Health & Safety (EHS) or a related field
- Demonstrable experience as an EHS professional
- The ability to write and implement policies and procedures
- Proficiency in compliance and systems to monitor and measure environmental safety outcomes
You will be highly regarded if you also have:
- Experience working within a manufacturing or similar high-risk environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence safety culture within an organisation
- Knowledge of safety management systems, particularly Intelex
