The role
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic health and safety professional to join the HSE team at Adbri.
We are looking for a candidate as dedicated to enhancing physical and psychological health and wellbeing as we are. This established, and newly vacated role, is open to new thinking and leads the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of health, safety and wellbeing strategies, policies and initiatives.
This full time permanent role is located in Adelaide CBD.
Responsibilities
- Lead a small Health and Wellbeing Team to deliver a holistic approach to worker health and wellbeing, supporting the achievement of our company objectives.
- Facilitate the delivery of programs that enhance employee health, wellbeing and injury prevention outcomes.
- Build and facilitate collaborative relationships internally and externally identifying and developing sound recommendations that are compliant and best positioned to deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Implement systems and processes underpinned by research and analysis
- Analyse data from a range of sources to identify trends and recommend areas for improvement.
What you will need to succeed
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a safety leadership position
- Qualifications in Health and Safety, Injury Management or a health-related discipline
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised, while also able to work within a team environment
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills
- Demonstrated ability to navigate & network amongst a large and diverse organisation
- Working knowledge of injury management and return to work practices; and state/territory workers compensation requirements, including internal dispute resolution processes.
