Reporting to: Heart Health Check Manager

Are you passionate about making a difference in cardiovascular health? Here's your chance to make a lasting impact by helping to promote a healthier and more informed community. Due to a significant uptick in interest from our clients and partner organisations, we're set to host a series of events aimed at promoting Heart Health across New South Wales. To meet the increasing demand, we are actively recruiting additional Heart Health Check Leads to join our casual team, performing mobile Heart Health Checks in Melbourne, Victoria.

About you

Core to your values is a deep passion for Heart Health and a commitment to building strong connections in the community. Your enthusiasm and outstanding relationship building skills will drive positive interactions with a diverse range of people. You will take pride in representing our values and mission, bringing energy and professionalism to every interaction. If you are keen on making a significant and lasting impact on the wellbeing of those you connect with, we look forward to receiving your application.

The role

The Heart Health Check Lead will be responsible for performing mobile Heart Health Checks at our partnered events, engaging with members of the public to perform health assessments. In particular, the Heart Health Check Lead will:

  • Measuring blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels.
  • Provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of their Heart Health, offering guidance on lifestyle modifications to minimise cardiovascular risks.
Does this sound like you?

Essential

  • Must have your own car and a current unrestricted NSW driver's licence.
  • Must be confident in driving our Chang Mobile – 2015 Jeep Compass
  • Exceptional reliability and punctuality.
  • Passionate about Heart Health and public health initiatives.
  • Experience with measuring blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol along with a good understanding of healthy lifestyle factors.
  • Enthusiastic and capable of engaging people through positive interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build rapport and connection.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively troubleshoot issues autonomously.
  • Flexibility with the days, times, and hours per week you are available to work, including traveling regionally for overnight or week long regional tours.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in healthcare, medicine, or related fields.
  • Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or a similar qualification.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities or identification as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person is highly preferred, as our client is actively engaged in regional areas of Australia and aims to support Indigenous communities.
