Role:                   Health & Safety Risk Managment Lead Grade:                GG13 Department:       Group Technology and Oeprational Excellence Function (GTOE) Location:            Australia (Hybrid or remote), Fairnborough

Reporting to the Group Head of Health & Safety Risk Management, this role will work as part of a team to deliver the global health and Safety Risk Management strategy, process and framework, collectively known as the plan.

As Group LeadHealth & Safety Risk Management, you will:

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to implement the plan ensuring that each legal entity has appropriate content in the management system for health and Safety Risk Management
  • Provide consultative input to global management system documents and their deployment anticipating future health and Safety Risk Management requirements
  • Work as part of a team to deliver health and Safety Risk Management activities to plan or as directed in response to an emerging issue ensuring innovative and best available technological options are explored
  • Provide global health and Safety Risk Management data and reports to enable knowledge management, continual improvement and cross-organisational learning
  • Use appropriate data sources to inform global health and Safety Risk profile and be involved in the generation and oversight as necessary of any required corrective/preventive actions.

As an ideal applicant for this role, you’ll present with:

  • Recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH certificate or diploma or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience as a health and safety practitioner in a senior leadership or managerial role
  • Proven experience working in health and safety function in a global or multinational business
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage with and influence stakeholders globally across all levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to express complex issues using clear and accurate language
  • Proven project management experience ensuring key priorities, outcomes and metrics are clearly defined to deliver continuous improvement initiatives
  • Flexiblity to work across multple timezones.

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
