Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Agwest Machinery. As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of agricultural machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and implements. Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy agricultural machinery.
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults and determine the appropriate solutions.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with the service team to prioritize and complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
- Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery, preferably in the agricultural sector.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Solid understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate machinery for testing and diagnostic purposes.
