ABOUT THE ROLE
Duties included:
Perform mechanical inspections and servicing (Preventative maintenance tasks) as directed by Maintenance Coordinator.
Carry out mechanical maintenance (corrective maintenance tasks) as directed.
Attend to, rectify and report any equipment breakdowns.
Complete any mechanical works as recommended by Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Ensure all completed mechanical documentation are submitted to the Maintenance Coordinator for record keeping.
Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvement.
Assist other roles for any tasks deemed necessary by management.
Participate in any meetings including any prestart, HSE, maintenance toolbox meetings and any other meetings deemed necessary.
Notify workshop manager of any defects/damage on all mobile equipment.
Liaise with Maintenance Coordinator to ensure major plant inspections and major repairs are planned and scheduled.
Attend Fleet breakdowns as required.
Qualifications and Experience required:
Heavy Duty Diesel mechanic trade certificate
Minimum of two years heavy/medium/light vehicle experience
Experience in mobile plant equipment.
Sound interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of people
Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
Ability to work well within a small team environment
