Garraway Group is an earthmoving, civil construction and mining service provider working in the agricultural, resources and construction industries Australia wide.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team at the Douglas mine site. Please note that this is a DIDO position. Workdays are from Monday to Friday.
Your typical day will look a little like this:
- Technical troubleshooting and fault finding including diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on CAT, Volvo and Hitachi equipment and their components - hydraulics, transmissions and engines
- Compiling and completing accurate reporting
- Working autonomously to manage your time and maximise efficiency
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Ideally, you will bring the following skills, experience and attributes to the role:
- A fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with practical experience in the field
- A proactive and positive attitude, with strong work ethic
- Previous experience working on earthmoving machinery
- Effective time management
- A strong commitment to safety, health and environment procedures
- Current drivers' license (must have)
- Experience with CAT computer diagnostics (great to have)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
- Be motivated, enthusiastic and have the ability to work as part of our team
