About you:
Delta Group are seeking an experienced Earthmoving Workshop Mechanic.
As a Workshop Mechanic for Delta Group you will be working in a fully equipped workshop with overhead cranes and specialised tools and be required to service and maintain a variety of heavy plant and equipment as well as attachments for our multiple divisions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform routine maintenance on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
- Minor and major repairs on earthmoving equipment and attachments.
- Trouble shooting and fault repairs.
- Be enthusiastic punctual and take pride in appearance and work.
To succeed in this role you will have a range of skills and attributes, including:
ESSENTIAL
- Passion for people and their safety.
- Permanent residency.
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test if required.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- A trade qualification in heavy plant mechanics.
- Experience with late model heavy plant, equipment and attachments.
DESIRABLE
- Demonstrated communication skills – verbal and written.
- Proven capacity to multi-task.
- High level decision making and problem solving skills
- Basic level proficiency in most Microsoft Office 365 packages with a strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritise and follow up.
