About the role
Coming from a Diesel Mechanic background, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow on the job in this role as it is in a niche market. The work is varied and within this role you will be responsible for the service, repair, and maintenance of specialised fleet vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Equipment fixing, servicing, repairing & fabrication
- You will be responsible for the necessary servicing and repairing of trucks such as pulling gear boxes out, reconditing the air compressor and much more.
- Documenting all repairing including parts usage
- The ability to work well within a team and autonomously
- Working to tight deadlines to complete projects
Skills & experience
- Minimum of 5 + years' experience with Heavy Vehicle mechanic experience, specifically as a Diesel Mechanic.
- As the successful candidate you must have relevant trade qualifications.
- Current HR Driver's license
- You must have genuine skills and interest in hydraulic systems, electronic systems, wiring, fault finding, general mechanical knowledge and fabrication.
