Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of Diesel Mechanics are responsible for the professional maintenance and repairs of trucks, trailers and equipment in the general freight, container, tipper and tanker fleet.
50 hour work week with alternating saturday morning shifts
The successful applicant will be responsible for;
Repairs, servicing and testing to company vehicles, trailers and equipment as per company service schedule Diagnostic and preventative maintenance and initiatives Attend breakdowns (where required) Assist workshop manager and fellow team members To be successful, you will possess the following skills and experience; Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic Car license as a minimum however a Heavy Vehicle license would be advantageous Experience in diagnosing and repairing general mechanical faults Previous gearbox, general repairs and servicing duties experience CAT / Cummins or adequate Diesel engine experience Demonstrate a willingness to undertake general repairs within the depot and wash bays. Understanding of NHVAS requirements, workshop compliance and Australian Truck Safety Standards. Roadside experience. Meet strict deadlines. Reliable with a good work ethic. Motivated and team orientated Medically fit and prepared to Undertake a pre-employment medical with drug & alcohol screening.
$38/hour + penalty rates
