We have an excellent opportunity for trade qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanics to join our Maintenance team based at our Murarrie site. The position is a AM shift - 6am start.
You will carry out scheduled servicing and complete general maintenance and repairs to faults on our fleet of modern Heavy Vehicles and trailers.
You will have solid practical work and leadership experience, preferably in the transport industry. The successful applicant will have excellent problem solving, diagnostic and fault finding skills.
To be successful, the applicant must:
- Have basic problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritise workload
- Reliable with a great attitude
- Sound mechanical knowledge and experience
- Sound welding knowledge and experience
- Proven experience in a similar fleet workshop-based role.
- Possess a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or similar
- Ability Demonstrated ability working unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
- Able to provide a willingness to support and guide other workshop team members.
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Able to demonstrate a strong focus on WHS
- Confident in managing and prioritising workloads
