Job DescriptionStabilised Pavements of Australia Pty Limited is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Workshop team in Somersby on a Permanent - Full Time basis. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Heavy Vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation. Your main tasks will include:
- Inspecting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic defects on Heavy Vehicles
- Performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications and tune-ups
- Conducting vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Identifying and ordering necessary parts and materials for repairs
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
- Adhering to all health and safety standards
- Completing all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Desired Skills and Experience- Proven experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Heavy Vehicles
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or relevant qualification
- Valid driver's licence (preferably Heavy Vehicle endorsement)
