We currently have an opportunity across our operations for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and Trade Assistant to join our exceptional team. This opportunity is open to candidates who must hold a HR licence (or willing to obtain) and relevant mechanical experience. - Travel required between multiple local depots in Gracemere and Bajool
Role Requirements:
- To be able to carry out/assist with vehicle repairs, maintenance, minor and major services in accordance with Heavy Vehicle standards and NHVAS compliant systems
- To be able to communicate and work proactively with our team members from Operations and Administration to achieve the desired result
- Be able to complete paperwork as required
- To be able to conduct diagnostic inspections and fault finding
- A commitment to safe work and safe trucks
- A desire to grow professionally and upgrade your skills.
- Previous experience working on Kenworth and Western Star Prime Movers is essential
- Provide breakdown assistance where required
- Willingness to learn, possess a great attitude and contribute to the success of the business
Applicants must have:
- Provide 5 years driving history
- Must have a drivers licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Drug & Alcohol check and consent to working in an impairment free working environment
- Willing to undertake a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance
