Due to continued growth, RIS safety now seeks to strengthen our NSW team by putting a call out for a natural leader who must have roofing, roof plumbing or Height Safety experience.
As the Project – Supervisor, you will be pivotal in maintaining team culture, fun, safety and energy within the team, as well as delivering projects on time and within budget.

About the role
The ideal candidate will offer a strong mix of skills around leading a fun and energetic team, being a great communicator, ability to plan and coordinate the project to the relevant legislative and code compliance, have a willingness to learn and be an ambassador of the RIS culture and values.
The role requires the successful candidate to be a true leader and lead by example in all aspects of the project installation and completion to the highest standards , this involves but is not limited to, the resourcing of projects, quality control, employee training, development and safety of the crew to deliver on installation projects in a range of Height Safety products including: Access platforms, Ladder systems, Abseil Monorail systems, Anchor Points, Static Lines, Walkways and Handrails, to a variety of buildings on new construction sites within the Sydney metropolitan area.
The desired criteria is as per the following:
- Must have 2 or more years experience in the Height Safety industry
- Be a true leader and lead by example
- Proven 1-2 years experience in leading, motivating and maintaining a fun, energetic and safe work environment
- Be able to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Ability to work to a timeline
- Be a team player
- Be able to operate power tools
- Have current drivers license
- A roof plumber background
- Previous experience in Height Safety installations or similar is a plus
- Roofing or carpentry experience is a plus
- Have a safety first mindset
- Ability to complete SWMS and advise on WHS risks
- Ability to calculate safe loads and stress factors
- Able to provide first aid assistance
- Capable of working at heights and in restricted spaces.
- Demonstrated Quality driven work
- Ability to keep all stakeholders informed regarding the project status and reporting
