Due to an increase in demand for their services they wish to hire an IT Support & Help Desk technician to join their technical support team. Comprehensive training will be provided.
About the role
Working within the helpdesk support team, you will be the first point of contact for clients calling with questions and technical support issues. Via a ticket system, your job will be to identify technical issues, troubleshoot and resolve problems over the phone, as well as escalate where needed.
You will be based within the office and for the more experienced technicians it is envisioned after 6 - 12 month’s on the Help Desk, you will progress to being an on-site technician and provided with a fully expensed Company vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Responding to requests for IT support efficiently and effectively (Onsite and remotely)
- Installing, upgrading, and repairing computer hardware, software, printers
- Monitoring, identifying, and resolving network and hardware faults
- Maintaining high levels of customer service at all times
- Previous experience in a Phone Based Level 1-2 IT Support Role
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 support, deployment, and admin
- Experience in ticketing systems (ConnectWise) is ideal
- Computer hardware knowledge and excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of current Microsoft Desktop, Server and Office platforms is a must
- A current Australian driver’s license
- Excellent communication and time management skills
To be successful in this role, there are no specific IT qualifications necessary. The emphasis will be on the practical “hands on” work experience and knowledge you possess, ideally working in a similar role – which is providing a variety of diverse IT Helpdesk support services to SME’s – we do not service large, corporate enterprise clients!

On offer is a competitive salary of $45K - $55K + super with quarterly performance and salary reviews. Progression to becoming an on-site IT Service Technician is available within 6 -12 month’s based on meeting certain KPI’s. Advancement to IT Service Technician will attract a fully expensed company vehicle, phone and tablet.
