Hays have partnered with a busy state government department to appoint an experienced IT Support Officer (Level 2) to an initial contract through to EOFY, with a strong chance of extension beyond. If you're an experienced IT Support Officer in-between roles and available to start ASAP, then this role is the one for you!
Your new role
As the IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of different functions across the department's ICT needs, aligned with organisational priorities and the scope of your position. Your day-to-day will be fast-paced and varied, but some of your core duties will involve:
Maintaining positive relationships, actively engaging with management, team members and other stakeholders
Providing specialised advice, offering accurate guidance on ICT, information management, and potential business benefits
Investigating and assisting in identifying system issues and implementing remedies and preventative measures
- Contributing to operational excellence, following procedures and maintaining accurate records
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced IT Support professional, with demonstrated experience in a similar role. You will be accomplished working across Windows operating environments, as well as possess a strong grasp of the Microsoft suite and ITSM incident management. This is an urgent role, so you'll also be either immediately available or have a very short notice period to be successful in being shortlisted for this position.
What you'll get in return
You'll be offered an initial contract through to EOFY 2024, with a strong chance of extension through to the end of August (and possibility to extend beyond that). You'll work alongside a supportive team with excellent management, and be remunerated at an hourly rate up to $43.91/hour plus super.
