We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HepatoPancreatoBiliary Nurse Consultant to join our Oncology Team!
About the Role:
As the HepatoPancreatoBiliary Nurse Consultant, your duties may include:
Coordinating the care requirements for the HPB patients across the continuum of care from admission, treatment to discharge and outpatients.
Facilitating the referral and coordination of care for HPB patients.
- Providing a point of contact for recently discharged patients, GP’s and other community providers and the inpatient team
Facilitating the communication of care plan requirements and discharge planning to community providers/GP.
- Providing Health promotion and education to patients and carers to improve health outcomes and well-being of the individual.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold a current practicing certificate.
- At least 3 years post registration experience
- Experience in the supervision of students, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses
- Effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
