THE ROLE
An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Home Care Manager to join our QLD team on a Part-time basis.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Health, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of Home Care services across our QLD operations to ensure the delivery of safe and quality care services.
More specifically, some of your key duties will include:
- Provide leadership to our Gold Coast Administrative team
- Build, motivate and guide our team of support workers through coaching, mentoring and performance management
- Manage a small case load of clients
- Develop, monitor and review of care plans and client budgets
- Ensure the highest possible standards and compliance are upheld
- Maintain effective collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
- Conduct regular visits to our existing Home Care clients
- Supervise and provide ongoing support to the team of Support Workers
- Maintain client confidentiality
IN YOUR TOOLKIT
To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experiences:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality standards
- Experience managing Home Care Packages/CHSP
- Experience with Home Care audits
- Experience with NDIS desirable but not essential
- Demonstrated knowledge within the Aged care sector
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
- Current Police clearance
- Valid NDIS workers check
- Ability to lead a team and work effectively with clients, family members and service providers
- Proficient computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent time management skills
- Positive and professional can-do attitude
